Academics

Middle Years Programme (MYP)

Our Middle School curriculum combines academic rigour with holistic development for learners aged 11 to 16.

Middle Years

A programme designed for transformative years.

Our Middle School curriculum offers academic rigor and prioritizes a holistic view of learning, where students develop themselves as critical thinkers, artists, athletes, and friends.

This program is for students between the ages of 11 and 16 years. Being a critical phase in most students’ lives, this age requires a program that can help students to develop the knowledge and skills that are essential during challenging times. The program focuses on five areas of interaction that are approaches to Learning, Community and Service, Human Ingenuity, Environment and Health, and Social Education.

Advisory, service learning, electives, and co-curricular activities help students grow with confidence, independence, and global awareness.

Why MYP at BMIS?

Core outcomes in the middle years

We ensure that our Middle School students have the tools to become successful, well-rounded global citizens. Our Advisory program, service learning opportunities, numerous electives, and extra-curricular activities, create an ideal environment for our students to flourish during their Middle School years. With an emphasis on student agency, the Middle School program enables students to pursue new passions and skills, as they seek to develop their unique selves.
