Admissions Procedure

IB Diploma Admissions

Entry into BMIS high school pathways is based on credits, course readiness, and programme fit.

Overview

BMIS High School & IB Diploma pathways

The BMIS High School Diploma is a four-year programme beginning in Year 10, awarded upon successful completion of all graduation requirements at the end of Year 13. This provides an alternative pre-university qualification for students who follow a modified MYP programme in Years 10–11 and/or a modified IB Diploma programme in Years 12–13. It is recognized by universities worldwide.

Students in Years 10–13 at BMIS may graduate if they meet the following requirements:

  • Maximum of 20 absences per year (approx. 90% attendance). Exceptions possible under severe illness or extraordinary circumstances.

  • Minimum of 6 subjects in Years 10–11; 5 subjects in Years 12–13.

  • Completion of Community Service (Years 10–11) and CAS (Years 12–13).

  • Earn at least 24 credits overall (max 36), with no more than one IB grade 2 or lower per year.
