We believe every student should have access to high-quality, sporting opportunities in a safe and joyful environment. We fully endorse a balanced, diverse multi-sport approach that helps foster a holistic approach to educational athletics. We value growth over outcome.
2023 we rebranded ourselves as the Wild Dogs.
BMIS is proud to provide so many sporting opportunities to its student body. In the last 5 years, BMIS has developed and strengthened relationships with a number of different schools, both locally, nationally and internationally. BMIS are involved in:
These competitions allow students to compete in Kasungu, Lilongwe, Blantyre, Limbe, and Zomba in a range of sports at Primary (U9, U11) and Secondary School level (U13, U15, U18).
BMIS created and founded. These leagues involve playing U18 level sports against ten Lilongwe-based schools in netball, boys’ soccer, and boys/girls contact rugby. The league hopes to expand to U14 and U11 age categories by 2026.
BMIS travels to South Africa, Zambia, Angola, Namibia, and The Congo to participate in high school soccer, volleyball, swimming, and basketball.
Students are put into one of four houses (Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Rhinos) on entering the school. Students compete in a range of different sports and activities throughout the year.
Students get to play against their peers in a more professional and organised competition.
Please note that additional fixtures are continually being organized but are not added to the calendar. We expect each team to have at least four fixtures for every sports team in BMIS.
